Scope and Content

A letter on white paper addressed to "Mrs. Reg. Ferguson" with "THORNBURY, ONTARIO" stamped below her name. The letter mentions Victory Loan bonds. The full transcription is as follows: "THE BANK OF TORONTO / THORNBURY, ONTARIO Branch JUL 24 1943 19 / Dear Sir or Madam: The Dominion of Canada Victory Loan Bonds for which you subscribed are now ready for delivery and we shall be glad if you will call for them at your earliest convenience. yours truly, [signature] Manager". Both the branch location and date are stamped with black ink. The signature appears to read "G.G. Liesemer". Water marks on the middle and right hand side when held up to light.
