Description
Digital scan of a photograph of Bill Trotter building a foundation wall for his family cottage from a scrapbook, with a caption that reads "Summer 1960 - Starting construction on the foundation wall. Poor construction techniques for an engineer ! Looking towards the hill. Not a tree in sight." Bill Trotter is detangling string while standing in front of a small trench. There are cement blocks and a pickaxe haphazardly lining each side of the trench. The photo was taken at the family cottage (Periwinkle Cabin) in Craigleith.
