Picture postcard, showing a black and white photograph of the construction of the Thornbury dam in 1912, taken from the bottom of the dam on the south east bank of the Beaver River. A person is visible standing within an open section of the dam's foundation, looking to his right. Workers constructing the dam can be seen on the south-west bank of the river. A two-storey frame building can be seen above the western bank of the river. Postage markings are printed in black on the reverse side.
