A colour polaroid is of two people sitting on a snow sculpture. The man and woman are sitting with their backs to each other. The man is wearing a purple and blue dress shirt, a tie, and black pants. The woman, Ellen Anderson, is wearing a white sweater with shades of purple around the neck and dark pants. The front of the snow sculpture looks like a coat of arms; there is a an apple, a fish a beaver and a beehive. Below the coat of arms are the dates, 1887 - 1987, in blue. In the background are a light, a pole, trees and buildings.
There is a white border around the photograph. The white border is even on the top, left and right sides, but it is larger on the bottom.
The back of the photograph is black and white. There is a large, black square, which is the back of the photograph. Around the black is white paper. A piece of velcro is affixed to the back, top, centre of the photo (See Condition). At the bottom of the photograph a black stamp, "For Deposit Only to the Credit of TOWN OF THORNBURY (General Account)", covers numbers, "1164...", and "POLAROID 9", which were printed in black. At the very bottom is a rectangular piece of thin, shiny, ivory paper, which is also covered in the black stamp.
