Child's christening dress. Attached tag dated 1858 "Mrs. C.H. Marsh". The dress has cutwork trim around the opening at the neck and diagonally on both sides of the front and back bodice. There is similar trim on the cuffs of the dress and at the hemline. The long sleeves have drawstrings at the cuffs. The bodice and sleeves are of a different fabric than the skirt of the dress. The discolouration is different between the two.
There is trim where the bodice meets the skirt.
The bottom of the skirt has three sewn horizontal pleats.Dimensions
