Description
Paper poster advertising the celebration of Collingwood's Confederation Jubilee in 1927. Black lettering on the cream coloured paper states: "Collingwood / 1867 1927 / Confederation Jubilee / Historical Pageant / Exhibition Park 2:15 p.m. / Thornbury Clarksburg Stayner / and tps Nottawasaga and Collingwood ' Friday, July 1, 1927". The lower half of the poster lists the days scheduled activities. As well a drawing titled "The Coming of the Loyalists, 1784" is displayed. The poster has torn along fold lines and there are several missing pieces along the bottom of the page.
The poster itself is mounted on a black mat and framed behind glass in a wooden brown-painted frame. There is a triangular cut out midway on either side of the frame. The frame itself is considerably weathered.
Handwritten notes associated with this artifact indicate the poster "was displayed on exterior wall of Depot for many years."
The back of the frame can not be viewed as it is on display at the time of this accession record.
