Scope and Content

A Salesman's agreement (contract). This is an agreement, which is signed by the Salesmen, who will sell Fourth Victory Loan. To raise money for the war effort, Victory Bonds were sold by the Dominion of Canada (Bank). Physical Characteristics: A yellow, legal sized piece of paper with black text on both sides. The front of the document has "DOMINION OF CANADA, FOURTH VICTORY LOAN, SALESMAN'S AGREEMENT" at the top centre of the page. Below the title is an area to type in the name, date and address of the salesman. These sections have been filled out as follows: the salesman, Col. R.C. Ferguson; the date, April 17th, 1943; and the address, Thornbury, Ont.. The body of the text covers the rest of the page. The titles, "COMMISSION PAYABLE BY THE GOVERNMENT" and "BASIS OF YOU REMUNERATION" are bold and underlined. The back of the page (document) has the title, "CONDITIONS AND REGULATIONS", which is bold, centred and underlined. Below the title are thirteen points, which are numbered from (a) to (n). At the bottom of the page are two signatures: one signed by the Organizer for the Victory Loans; and one signed by R.C. Ferguson.
