A post-marked commemorative envelope addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Fleming of Collingwood, Ontario. The envelope features a special cancellation stamp for the Sixth Commonwealth Mining and Metallurgy Congress, which was hosted in Canada in September 1957. The contents of the envelope are missing, as the top edge has been cleanly sliced open.

Postmark: A black circular cancellation stamp from a post office in Quebec (reading "Ste. Adèle [en Bas] Sr. / Quebec, P.Q.") is located at the top center, dated September 1957.
Postage Stamp: A blue, 5-cent Canadian commemorative postage stamp issued for the Commonwealth Mining Congress. The design prominently features the Parliament Buildings in Ottawa, a stylized trumpet/horn icon in the upper-left corner, and the "5 cents" denomination in the upper-right corner.
Slogan Cancel: Overlapping the postage stamp is a special wavy-line slogan cancellation stamp reading "Commonwealth Mining Congress / September 8–9."
