Envelope addressed to Postmaster of Thornbury
Physical Characteristics: A mustard yellow coloured envelope has black text and stamps on the front. The envelope is addressed to "POSTMASTER, THORNBURY, ONT" on three lines in the centre. There are three black stamps on the front, right half of the envelope: two round postmark stamps and one "FREE" stamp. One of the round stamps on the front is dated "Jul 9, '43", while the other stamp is dated "Jul 11, 2 PM, 1943". On the back of the envelope is another black, round postmark stamp. The envelope is open and the flap has some paper attached to the adhesive, where it was originally attached.Dimensions
