Description

Grey-coloured, soft covered, 15-page paper booklet. The title of the booklet, printed on the cover in black ink states "Financial Statement / of / Receipts and Expenditures / of the / Town of Thornbury / From Nov. 15th, 1928 / To Nov. 15th, 1929". The title is printed within a cross-hatched pattern, black rectangular border. A typewritten list of receipts and expenditures is recorded from page 1 through to page 15 (front and back). The lists are sub-divided into categories and include: "Receipts, Expenditures, Arrears of Taxes, Resident Taxes, Dog Tax, Rents, Fines, Miscellaneous, Loans, Public Utilities, Salaries, Printing, Advertising and Stationery, School Account, Roads and Bridges, Fire, water and Gas, Law Costs, Charity, Insurance, Interest, Stamps, Board of Health, Public Property, Debentures Specific, Debentures and Coupons, Bills Payable, Cutting Weeds, Miscellaneous, Repairs to Bridge, and Sewer Account". A. H. Abercrombie, Mayor, and Geo. H. Boone, Treasurer are listed at end of financial statement.
