Description

Pink-coloured, soft covered, 14-page paper booklet. The title of the booklet, printed on the cover in black ink states "Financial Statement / of / Receipts and Expenditures / of the / Town of Thornbury / From Nov. 15th, 1928 / To Nov. 15th, 1929". The title is printed within a line and dot pattern, black, rectangular border. A typewritten list of receipts and expenditures is recorded from page 1 through to page 15 (front and back). The lists are sub-divided into categories and include: "Receipts, Expenditures, Arrears of Taxes, Resident Taxes, Dog Tax, Rents, Interest on Taxes, Licenses, Fines, Public Utility Transfer, Miscellaneous, Salaries, Printing Stationery and Advertising, Insurance, Fire, Water and Gas, Law Costs, Charity, Roads and Bridges, Debentures and Coupons, Interest, Bills Payable, Stamps, School Account, Public Property, Cutting Weeds, Board of Health, and Miscellaneous". C.J. Lougheed, Mayor, and Geo. H. Boone, Treasurer are listed at end of financial statement.
