Typewritten in black ink, the invite states "The Clarksburg Badminton Club / Requests the honour of the company of / Yourself and friends at an / Informal Dance / To be held in the / Community Hall, Clarksburg / Friday Evening, / January Nineteenth / Nineteen hundred and thirty-four / Dancing from nine-thirty until two / Herb Dixon's Orchestra - Lunch Provided / Tickets, 95 cents, plus tax, Extra Lady 47 cents, plus tax."
