Black and white photographic print showing a crew of railway workers laying track for the extension of the line between the Town of Collingwood and Meaford. Several workers are posed along the tracks with a piece of heavy equipment visible behind them. A typed, paper label is affixed to the reverse side that reads "The crews that laid the railway ties and tracks moved remarkably quickly in laying line to Thornbury. Gangs of men were large but labour was cheap.".
