Physical Characteristics: The letter is handwritten in blue ink on both sides of a standard letter size paper. The paper is slightly off-white with black printed letterhead text on the front side only. The letter has crease marks from where the paper was folded three times.
The first page (front side) starts with the date, "April 20th 1965", then the return address to Mrs. Murdoch McMurchy, and then two paragraphs of text. The writing continues on the second page (reverse side). This side finishes a paragraph from the first page and has another indented paragraph, followed by the closing, "Yours sincerely"; the name, "J. N.
