Rough draft of a letter to University of Toronto from Mrs. McMurchy
Physical Characteristics: The envelope is white and has been cut so only the front rectangle (where the address is written) and the flap are present.
The beginning of the letter with the address, "Department of Archaeology, University of Toronto", and the salutation, "Dear Sir," is handwritten in blue ink on the interior side of the envelope. The body of the letter fills the interior side of the envelope, and only the adhesive on the flap is left blank. The handwriting continues on the exterior side of the envelope. The first line on the exterior of the envelope is crossed out. The closing, the signature of "Mrs. Murdoch McMurchy", and the address are handwritten on the blank white sections of the exterior. The exterior side of the envelope has a typed address in the centre to a "Mr. Murdock MacMurchy" and a red stemp for a 2 cent postage with the postmark included.Dimensions
