Description

A letter to Mr. F. M. Hartman, Secretary of the Thornbury Chamber of Commerce, from The Canadian Almanac, a division of the publishing company, The Copp Clark Co. Limited. The Canadian Almanac was preparing to print a list of the names and positions for all the Chambers of Commerce across Canada. This letter asks the Thornbury Chamber of Commerce to review a list of names and positions. The list was to be returned after being checked, corrected and/or updated, so it could be printed in the 1944 edition. It appears from the date stamp that the list of names and positions was returned on June 14th, 1943. Physical Characteristics: A white piece of paper with a typed letter on the front side only. The top of the page is preprinted (letterhead for The Canadian Almanac). On the top right (below the letterhead address) is a purple, date stamp, "JUN 14 RET". An address typed in red is on the left side, between the letterhead and the body of the letter. The letter is typed in black. The letter has a greeting, a title (RE), four indented paragraphs and a closing with a signature in black. The back of the page is blank.
