Picture postcard decorated with a black and white photograph showing Bruce Street North, looking south past the intersection of King Street in Thornbury, taken circa 1913. The "Pedwell Block" brick complex is visible on the north-east corner and the Reverse House hotel is visible on the south-west corner of the intersection. A horse-drawn carriage is visible heading north. Printed in black at the top of the image reads "Main St. Thornbury, Ont.". Affixed to the top right corner of the reverse side is a green 1-cent King George V Canada Postage stamp, beside it are two post marks, one is legible which reads, "Thornbury, JAN 20, 13". A message is written in faded black ink below the stamp addressed to "Miss Marrion Boyd, H.S.S, Meaford". Printed in green on the reverse side are postage markings and the publisher marking "Rumsey and Co., 1528. Queen St. West, Toronto, Canada".Postcard Details
