35mm Slides - Mitchell's Apple SauceEntry/Object ID
2009-003-012Description
A color photographic slide transparency mounted in a square, white cardstock protective frame with rounded corners, documenting an interior scene of a young boy working along the automated production line at Mitchell's Apple Sauce Plant.
The 35mm film transparency shows clear sprocket holes along the top and bottom borders and captures a young worker wearing a white hat, a light blue t-shirt, and jeans as he stands before an industrial conveyor belt heavily loaded with round, silver tins of apple juice.
The recto (front) of the white cardstock frame features the plant name, "MITCHELL'S APPLE SAUCE", handwritten in black pen across the top margin, alongside the numeral "6" handwritten in blue pen on the left side. The lower margin is marked with a distinctive red dot in the left corner and features two black ink stamps reading "G. A. BLACK" and "OCT 1973". The verso (reverse) side of the cardstock mount remains plain white and unmarked.Photograph Details
