Scope and Content

A legal agreement between Charles Campbell (son) and George Campbell (father) concerns the homestead property on the South 1/2 Lot 19, Concession 2 in Collingwood Township. Watermark when held up to light reads Newsome and Co Legal Bonds. Physical Characteristics: A legal document with purple, typed text and black handwritten notes is comprised of three sheets of paper, which are stuck together at the top left corner. All three sheets only have text on the front. The first two pages are facing forward, and the third page is facing the opposite direction. All three pages have three sets of thin double red lines on the front side only; the third page is the only one where the text is typed on the blank, back side without the red lines. The first few lines of the first page are as follows: "THIS INDENTURE made in duplicate the 26th day of February, 1907. Between CHARLES A CAMPBELL of the Township of Collingwood in the County of Grey, Farmer, Of the First Part and GEORGE CAMPBELL and FLORA CAMPBELL, his wife, of the same place, Of the Second Part." Further down the page, text is crossed out with black in and other handwritten text is added. The second page only has purple, typed text on the top half and then two signatures: " GM Walker" and "Charlie A Campbell". There is part of a red sticker (See Condition) to the right of Charlie's signature. The third page has text on the back and is folded twice in half to create the cover of a legal document. The first and second folded sections create the front and the back when the document is folded. The first folded section has a purple stamp, which starts with "I Certify that...", and black handwritten text filled in on the dotted lines. The second section has the date, "Feby, 26th, 1907," at the top, and the word "AGREEMENT." is in the center between two lines. The other two folded sections are the continuation of the legal agreement and have purple, typed text with two signatures: W. T. Allan and GM Walker.
