Scope and Content

A ledger from the Registry Office lists the owners of the property of South 1/2 Lot 19, Concession 2 of Collingwood Township. Physical Characteristics: "Ontario Registry Office, North Riding of County of Grey" in bold, black text is at the top of the ledger paper with blue horizontal lines, red, single vertical lines separating the columns, and double or triple horizontal lines at the top and the bottom of the ledger. Below the title is the property, "South 1/2 LOT 19 Concession 2, township OF Collingwood". Ten of the ledger lines are filled with handwritten information. The first line is as follows: "Patent, 17 May 1838, Crown, Thomas Martin, all 100 acr." The tenth line (or entry) is as follows: "15976, M, 11 March 1927, 16 March 1927, Chas. A. Campbell et ux, Canada P. M. Crown, S1/2 100ac, $600., & S1/2 lot 20 con 1.". Notes and lines in brown pencil have been added onto the ledger. At the bottom of the page, below the ledger, is the following text: "Dated at Owen Sound this 10th day of June, A.D. 1931 at the hour of 10:20 Am; MIDDLEBRO' & SCOTT".
