School register. On the front cover in black: "Public School (Or Separate) / Daily Register / for / Recording the Attendance / of / Pupils / In Public (or Separate) School, Number 7 / in the Township of Collingwood / For the Year 1916 ".
Inside the front cover is a page that lists the "General Instructions / to / Trustees, Teachers and Inspectors". There is a line for the Public School Inspector to sign and date the book.
The subsequent pages are handwritten accounts of the name of the teacher, list of students and days of attendance. Each page has "School Section 7 Township of Collingwood" at the top of the page.
The back inside cover has information for teachers in rural schools regarding school sessions, organization of courses of study, duties of pupils, holidays, flags and medical and dental inspections.
