School register. On the front cover in black: "Public School (Or Separate) / Daily Register / for / Recording the Attendance / of / Pupils / In Public (or Separate) School, Number 7 / in the Township of Collingwood / For the Year 1919 ".
Inside the front cover is a page that lists the "General Instructions / to / Trustees, Teachers and Inspectors".. There is a line for the Public School Inspector to sign and date the book.
The first inside page has "Religious Instruction" and "Forms of Prayer".
The subsequent pages are handwritten accounts of the name of the teacher, list of students and days of attendance. Each page has "School Section 7 Township of Collingwood" at the top of the page.
There is a written notation in the book in April: "No school this year / until April 29/19 / Not worthwhile / hiring teacher on / account of the / poor attendance / in winter time."Archive Details
