Scope and Content
Student's six-page essay written in black pen on foolscap paper. The pages are secured together with a straight pin located in the upper left corner. The title of this essay, written on page one, is "Historical Research / Collingwood Township and Ravenna". Written on the back of page six is the name "Mr. J. Walters". The name has ink smears, making it hard to read the full name. The essay details the history, geography, and interests of the Collingwood Township and Ravenna area.
A winner's list and accompanying essays were discovered in a single yellow envelope titled "Children's Essays On Local Area". All essays are charred/burnt only along the right edge.
The item was being held together with a small nail. The nail was removed for preservation and safety. The nail was properly disposed of.
