Student's five-page essay written in blue pen on foolscap paper. The title of this essay, written on page one, is "The History of Redwing Public School". On the back of page 5 is the author's name, "Bobby Dobson". Below his name, handwritten in pencil, are the words "Grand Champion". Beside this are two letters, "C.S.", written in red ink and enclosed in a red square. This essay details the history of the public school in Redwing and identifies the most recent renovation occurring in 1935. It can be concluded that the essay was written after 1935. A winner's list and accompanying essays were discovered in a single yellow envelope titled "Children's Essays On Local Area". All essays are charred/burnt along the right edge only.
