A photographic postcard depicting the Thornbury Dam washing out during the flood of 1912. At the top to the right side of the image there are several buildings visible.
Written in blue ink in the upper, left corner reads "Flood of 1912. Dam washed out".
Postage markings are printed on the reverse side. Written in pencil reads "Miss Marion Boyd. Meaford, Ont. Dear Marion: Have not heard from you in some time. Expect a letter to night. How are you feeling. Everybody here is well as usual. We have about 19 acres sowed. Maggie Grummett was here and mama was making her a dress of some kind. Heard you had gone back to Mathewsons. Have no more room. How is W.H. - E.B.". A green, one cent postage stamp is affixed to the upper, right corner. A postage mark is stamped at the top that reads "Heathcote. - 12. ONT".Postcard Details
