Unidentified Mill

Old Barn: This is a black and white photographic print of a building, which could possibly be an old barn. The background shows two buildings, with the one on the left-hand side being made of wood with a wood pile being situated in from of the building. The building on the right side seems to resemble a town house which was likely the building that was lived in by the owners of the barn.

Description

A black-and-white photographic print showing the rear, exterior of an unidentified mill building. The primary timber-framed wooden mill structure features a distinct, unusual architectural roofline that rises centrally to resemble a small, secondary clerestory storey or monitor roof. In the immediate foreground, a neat cord of firewood is stacked against the building's facade. To the right and forward of the mill, the rear corner of a secondary structure—possibly a residential house associated with the property—is partially visible, framing the edge of the composition.
