Description

One piece of petrified wood covered with boring holes from the bivalve genus Teredo. The clams bore into the wood before it petrified, making round tube-like holes. Only these trace fossils are preserved in this specimen - no valves or pallets are present. Phylum: Mollusca Family: Terdinidae Class: Bivalvia Order: Myida Genus: Teredo
