Fossil DecapodEntry/Object ID
LN2009.3.31Description
A decapod identified in the original catalog as a "shrimp."
It is also identified as the genus Astacus, but Astacus is the European crawfish. I am dubious of this identification. Especially since it was also called a "Shrimp," and the Hornbrook Formation is marine, not freshwater.
Another possibility is that it could be Hoploparia, a marine lobster from the Cretaceous. This would fit with the specimen being from the Hornbrook Formation.
