Description

A 1.6 cm thick slice of petrified wood from East central Arizona; called “Woodworthia" wood. Piece was broken in one area and is glued back together. Polished side shows scarring and areas where thorns were present. Multiple cracks are present, some of which are surface, and some crystalline filled. Colors: beige, pink, red, browns. Some of the thorn track marks are patterned with small crystalline cracks, to one side. Probably from Jurassic period, Mesozoic era (~200 mya). (Removed from inventory to gift shop 11/13/2000).
