Name/Title

Donkey Shoe

Entry/Object ID

Description

An iron mule or "jack" shoe from the late 19th or early 20th century. The size suggests it was made for a small mule or likely a donkey. As opposed to the more commonly known horseshoe which has a rounder shape, the shape of this shoe indicates it was made for the thinner, higher set hoof of a mule or donkey.
