Two framed slices of petrified wood, cut with the grain, which came from the forests in Sweet Home, Oregon, near Salem (east-central Oregon), One slice is in a beige background made of construction paper, and the other in a rust colored background. Both are in a light brown wooden frame with title "Painted Hills of Oregon". Probably from the Oligocene epoch, Tertiary period, Cenozoic era. Sizes of wood differ slightly. Wood is in various shades of brown.Collection
