Chemical Composition: SiO2 Crystal System: Triclinic System Description: Common Name: Agate Chemistry: SiO2 , Silicon dioxide Class: Class: Silicates Location: Butte Creek, Eagle Point, Jackson County, OR Description: Thick slice of an agate nodule. Piece has a chrome-colored mineral band that runs along one half of nodule (green with white edging). The rest of the agate is gray in color with some black dendrite, and white mineral intrusions. Yellow-brown is at the outermost edge. An open hole is in gray agate area. Several cracks are visible. some are surface.
