Description

Two 1.2 cm thick slices of petrified wood from Utah in Chinle formation. Off-centered is beige with a large crystalline crack. Other crystalline cracks are found all over the piece. Colors: areas of beige, browns, reds, black. Growth rings apparent. Probably from the Jurassic period, Mesozoic era (~200 mya). (note: it states that the sample is crushed and broken and is crossed out in physical document (see image)). (Sold in public auction 04/30/2011).
