Chemical Composition: SiO2 Crystal System: Triclinic System Description: Common Name: Agate Chemistry: SiO2 , Silicon dioxide Class: Class: Silicates Location: Bear Creek, Jackson County, OR Description: Small, thick slab with polished face. Reddish-brown banding, with a dull yellow inner band and a gray-blue to white center. Delmar: "Slice of agate, varying in thickness. Piece is polished on both sides. Colors: A minute crystalline center is surrounded by fortified agate in whites to light grays to dark gray to light gray, with some yellow. Orange is at outer rim. Infiltration hole is present on one side. A small white mass with crystalline center is present in infiltration hole and appears as an intrusion on other side."
