Chemical Composition: SiO2 Crystal System: Triclinic System Description: Common Name: Agate Chemistry: SiO2 , Silicon dioxide Class: Class: Silicates Location: Burns Beds, Central OR Description: (Delmar) Opalized Agate with Cinnabar. Colors: An opalized center in whites, pinks, grays, blues, with some crystallization (open on unpolished side), all surrounded by a cinnabar (red) line. Background or outermost rim is in browns and beiges, in a 'feathered' design. Small dark cracks create a 'mosaic' pattern over most of this piece. A hole is open on the polished side.
