Chemical Composition: SiO2 Crystal System: Triclinic System Description: Common Name: Thunderegg Chemistry: SiO2 , Silicon dioxide Class: Class: Silicates Location: Frieda Bed, Madras,OR Description: Polished side of a slice of thunderegg shows a grey agate bubble ( only one ever found by Delmar Smith) . There is fortified and bedded agate in blue-greys, blues and white. Two calcite crystals are seen lodged on the polished side and three on the other side. Surrounding rock is red, pink, grey, green, tan and beige.
