Chemical Composition: SiO2 Crystal System: Hexagonal System Description: Common Name: Agate Chemistry: SiO2 , Silicon dioxide Class: Silicates Location: Butte Creek, Jackson County, OR Description: Thick rounded specimen with a cut on polished face. Transparent gray-blue banding on outside edges with a creamy beige and light gray inner section. A band of transparent dull white crystals surrounds a dull yellow banded center.The entire specimen is banded by dark reddish brown agate.
