Chemical Composition: SiO2 Crystal System: Triclinic System Description: Common Name: Agate Chemistry: SiO2 , Silicon dioxide Class: Class: Silicates Location: Bear Creek Jackson County, OR Description: Central area of this piece is white and yellow crystalline silicate. Surrounding rock is grey with a white outline. Some brown moss and "eyes" are seen floating in the crystalline center. Delmar: "Cut side shows an open hole in the center in fortified agate in clear to whites to grays to cream. Piece resembles a fish with 'eye' and 'mouth', with a curled tail. Piece is unpolished and contains a few cracks."
