Chemical Composition: SiO2 Crystal System: Hexagonal System Description: Common Name: Agate Chemistry: SiO2 , Silicon dioxide Class: Silicates Location: Black Rock Desert, Nevada Description: Very thick rounded back with polished face. Brownish-red outer area with some burnt yellow. A black band surrounds a smokey-gray inner band with some streaking, and a large, deep, hollow cavity with dull-white flat plane and druzy blue-gray crystalline structure with some stalagmites present.
