Chemical Composition: SiO2 Crystal System: Hexagonal System Description: Common Name: Thunderegg Chemistry: SiO2 , Silicon dioxide Class: Silicates Location: Skull Springs, Oregon Description: Large, rounded back with polished face. Light brown to beige outer band with symmetrical reddish-brown cracking. The inner area is a solid reddish-brown with a turtle-back appearance. The center is a hollow cavity with blue-gray and chalky-white center surrounded by a white and grainy blue-gray band.
