Chemical Composition: SiO2 Crystal System: Hexagonal System Description: Common Name: Agate (Medfordite) Chemistry: SiO2 , Silicon dioxide Class: Silicates Location: Jackson co.,OR Description: A large chunk of Medfordite agate, un-cut, with a pock-marked outer surface on one side. The other sides show a fortified agate in greyish white with a blue to blue-green band of chalcedony running through. There are also drusy coated agate tubes covering most of the exposed surface.
