Description

Description: ONE of a group of 22 thundereggs, found 50 miles from prineville, oregon high in the ochoco mountains. found by delmar smith and dwight mccorkle in approx 1960. all the specimens from the same bed, unusual find at that time. matrix is mother rock on the outside, silica fill on the inside, 5 multiples (more than one center). all specimens cut and polished. basic colors are red browns, gold, grey blues, and cinnebar cobalt. accession book states that the 22nd thunderegg is on exhibit at the children's museum.
