Description

Large slab, multi-colored slab including greys, browns, reds and creams, approximately 14"x 6"x 2" Delmar description: Thick slice of petrified wood from Sweet Home, Oregon (West Central Oregon). Colors: a long piece of dark grey and black wood extends from one edge past center. This is surrounded by grey then cream and beige wood, with golden and brown wood on the outermost rim. Grain design resembles "fur". Several cracks run through the piece, some of which are surface. Probably from the Oligocene epoch, (Tertiary period, Cenozoic era). Growth line apparent.
