A 1.6 cm slice of petrified wood from Sweet Home, Oregon (west-central Oregon). Growth rings apparent. (Gift shop).
Colors: piece is all cream and beiges, with the exception of a few areas in dark brown and a large dark rimmed spot in brown. Several cracks, some of which are surface.
Probably from Oligocene epoch, Tertiary period, Cenozoic era (~40 mya).Collection
