One fossil crinoid calyx, which is the cuplike-flowerbud structure at the uppermost end of the "sea lily" stalk. The calyx contained the animal's mouth, anus, and most other internal organs. It was also the attachment site for the animals many "feathered" feeding arms.
Calyx exterior has a pentagonal pattern with a filled (permineralized) hollow on its dorsal (top) side.Collection
