Description

Donor: Delmar Smith Date/Period of Time: Condition: Very Good Dimensions: 4" x 9" (10.2 x 22.9 cm) Marking Location: On Specimen Description: Two halves of agatized coral from Tampa, Florida known as "Antler Coral". The rough crust is a pseudomorph of chalcedony after coral (Crystalline structure is altered). Light and dark blue nodules are surrounded by brown agate. Two elongated holes in both halves. Entire specimen is surrounded by a greyish crust containing many small air holes not completely penetrating specimen. (De Acc. 5/28/05)
