Retrieved from the Enamel Arts Foundation website: [https://www.enamelarts.org/alabastron/] According to Luft: “During my entire life I have been in love with objects of art. For more than 12 years I worked with a successful dealer who specialized in Imperial Russian enamels and art pieces. Year after year, I helped set up these exquisite items to be displayed in glass cabinets at various prestigious antique shows. The point is that I not only obtained a copious visual experience of the Tsarist antiques, but also an invaluable sensorial perception of beauty. Alabastron is a piece I created as consequence of that experience. It is built with a structure of hand-formed enamel leaves surrounding a classic turned wood vase. The composition is balanced with an addition of whimsical details such as the coral cones and the horsehair top.” [IR 06/25/2025]
