General Notes

Note

Retrieved from the Enamel Arts Foundation website: [https://www.enamelarts.org/girafferey/] Decker’s grandfather once gave him a keychain that had various American signs and symbols on it. Decker loved that a single object could embody a worldview and an individual’s expansive concept of pride. Reflecting these interests, many of Decker’s pieces contain tiny objects – such as the giraffe seen here – that evoke distant memories or that arouse elusive hopes, fears and desires. [IR 06/24/2025]
