I had a remarkable reading of my astrological chart by the esteemed Carol Ferris a while back, and oddly enough the word kook came up along the way, and I ran with it. The figures I was making on these relief slabs of clay became the kook. Tossing the I-Ching added to the mixture. Featured in this "shadow box" beneath the kook are wooden arches taken from Japanese scroll boxes that act as frames. The details in this entry are a closeup of a couple of those, plus a shot of the back of the piece. I used an old piece of a wine box that I found and painted, then made a small collage which I placed in the center in a kind of frame.Inscription/Signature/Marks
