I had visited Taiwan in 1986, and this image may date from that first visit. However it's also possible that I took this when I moved from Tokyo to Taipei in August of 1989. The candy maker is forming a flying horse, while a family group looks on patiently and with admiration for the skills of the craftsman engaged in a disappearing art.
